Forty days from now, September 30, COURAGEOUS opens in 1,100 theaters across the U.S. … and in Canadian theaters as well!
As with all elements and ministries of Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia, Courageous is rooted in prayer. With that in mind, we asked Sherwood’s Senior Associate Pastor Stephen Kendrick to create a 40-day prayer guide leading up to the opening of the movie. In addition to the impact this film will have on families, there are also countless elements that go into a movie’s opening for which we would appreciate you joining us in prayer.
In addition to his work as producer and co-writer for Courageous, Fireproof, Facing the Giants, and Flywheel, Stephen also oversees Sherwood’s prayer ministry. So, starting today, August 22, and going each day until September 30, we will have daily prayer updates on this blog. Thanks for joining us on this adventure!

Pray For Courageous: Pray for God to continue opening theatrical doors and help Courageous to be shown in the right places to the right people at the right times.
